COMANDANTE di Enrico Maisto
MILANO FILM FESTIVAL - PREMIO APRILE
Francesco Maisto, the director's father, was a parole office in Milan's San Vittore prison during the years of political terrorism in Italy. Felice was a mechanic and always been a Communist, an ex-activist of Lotta Continua, extreme left movement. What's the link between two characters so distant and different? Humanity is the guiding thread of this intimate and sincere documentary, the meaning of which is in the research by the young director: the need to question himself incessantly about two key figures of his childhood, on the meaning of friendship, on the image that a son has of his own father.
Gli anni di piombo visti da un giudice e da un extraparlamentare, uniti da un'amicizia più forte delle divisioni politiche.
